about me:

I’m Josie Cancro, and my goal as a creative is to share people’s stories, emotions, and all the little moments through athletics, portraits, and graphics.

I’m a junior student-athlete at St. Lawrence University, majoring in Digital Media and Film with a minor in Sports Studies and Exercise Science.

Jc.candids started in 2020 when COVID hit. I needed something to fill my time, and my brother had a Nikon camera covered in dust. As soon as I picked it up, I knew this was something I wanted to pursue. I began taking photos of anything and everything, carrying the camera with me everywhere. When we returned to school, I started shooting sports—and realized I could combine my love for athletics with my creative side. It was the perfect duo.

Since then, I’ve taken on roles as a social media consultant and videographer for NES Sports Performance and photographed athletics for St. Lawrence University. This past summer, I worked as the photographer for the Danbury Westerners of the New England Collegiate Baseball League.

Most recently, I was named Social Media Chair for Saints Nation, managing the Instagram account and creating graphics to engage the fan community.
